What are the responsibilities and job description for the DSP (Direct Support Professional) - Day Habilitation position at Eden II Programs?
Eden II Programs currently has full opportunities for Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in our day habilitation program in Long Island, NY. The Direct Support Professional is responsible for supporting and providing care for developmentally disabled adults.
Responsibilities include:
- Helping to establish vocational, volunteer and recreational opportunities for each participant within an integrated, community based setting.
- Training participants with necessary ADL, social and vocational skills
- Recording behavioral and program data both in the community and at the program site.
Desired skills and experience:
- Compassion and patience
- Team player
- High school diploma or GED
- Availability to work Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
- Valid driver's license required. Driving is a requirement of this position.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
