What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Specialist position at Eden II Programs?

Eden II Programs is looking for a Behavioral Specialist to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism spectrum disorders in our clinic
  • Implement behavior plans and skill acquisition strategies in the context of social, communication, and daily living skills
  • Work with families on parenting skills, communication, and support for children
  • Collect data on progress through monthly reports and online summaries
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals in a collaborative team environment
  • Maintain professional standards and comply with professional conduct policies

Skills:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Prior experience working with children with autism preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.60 - $22.00 per hour

Education:

  • Associate (Required)

Experience:

  • Working with people with developmental disabilities: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • Commack, NY 11725 (Required)

Work Location: In person

Salary : $19 - $22
