What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Experience Optimization Consultant position at EDEN HEALTH INTERNATIONAL INC?
Project Request: Intake Experience Optimization Consultant
Company: Eden
Engagement Type: Independent Contractor / Statement of Work (SOW) Based
Location: Remote
Compensation:$40-$50 / hour
Project Overview
Eden is seeking an external Intake Experience Optimization Specialist to lead the end-to-end optimization of its intake and onboarding flows, including multi-step questionnaires, eligibility logic, account creation handoffs, checkout transitions, and related user journeys.
In this role, you will operate as the accountable owner of funnel performance—identifying drop-off points, forming and prioritizing hypotheses, translating insights into clear technical requirements, validating measurement frameworks, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver high-impact improvements with speed and precision.
The primary objective of this engagement is to diagnose, architect, and optimize Eden’s digital intake and onboarding funnels to drive measurable conversion gains. This includes leveraging technical performance enhancements, rapid A/B testing, and systematic removal of UX friction to create a seamless progression from initial user interest through medical eligibility.
This is a results-driven engagement. You will function as an independent subject matter expert, responsible for defining the strategic roadmap and technical specifications for Eden’s intake ecosystem, while maintaining full autonomy over your methodologies and professional toolset.
Scope of Work (Deliverables)
The Contractor shall be responsible for the following deliverables:
- Technical Funnel Audit & Diagnostics
Conduct a comprehensive audit of the React-based intake flow across the full stack. Identify technical failure points such as validation errors, performance bottlenecks, inefficient component loading, and flawed logic loops. Evaluate the data layer to ensure accurate, consistent event tracking across Mixpanel and GA4, with particular attention to funnel integrity and attribution accuracy.
- Experimentation Strategy & Execution
Establish and maintain a prioritized CRO roadmap grounded in data-driven hypotheses and expected impact. Own the end-to-end experimentation lifecycle using VWO (or equivalent), including test design, implementation oversight, QA, and analysis. Translate insights into precise technical requirements and implementation specifications for Engineering and Design to enable efficient execution.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting
Deliver weekly performance analyses of funnel metrics, segmented by traffic source, device, and user cohort. Clearly document experiment outcomes, distinguishing between successful and unsuccessful tests, and build a structured knowledge base to inform future optimization efforts and institutional learning.
- Funnel Ownership & Optimization
Assume full ownership of intake funnel performance and adjacent conversion flows, with a focus on completion rates, conversion rates, and downstream efficiency. Develop and continuously refine a prioritized optimization roadmap based on impact, confidence, effort, and feasibility. Identify and resolve friction across multi-step flows, including UX ambiguity, validation issues, routing errors, error states, perceived time burden, and trust gaps. Standardize best practices for flow design, including progress indicators, step sequencing, microcopy, error handling, and reassurance mechanisms.
- Experimentation & Testing
Design and execute a high-velocity experimentation program across intake steps. Formulate clear, testable hypotheses tied to measurable KPIs such as step-to-step conversion, overall completion rate, qualified completions, and downstream conversion. Define detailed technical requirements and acceptance criteria for each test, including targeting logic, traffic allocation, segmentation, instrumentation, and success metrics. Own QA from both a logic and analytics perspective, ensuring accuracy across branching logic, edge cases, cross-device behavior, and data capture. Maintain rigorous experimentation hygiene through standardized naming conventions, thorough documentation, archived learnings, and controls to prevent redundant testing.
- Technical Collaboration & Build Literacy
Operate effectively within React-based environments, with working knowledge of component architecture, form state management, validation logic, routing, and conditional rendering. Produce clear, implementation-ready specifications that outline expected behavior, tracking requirements, error handling, and edge cases. Partner closely with Engineering to accelerate delivery while minimizing rework, and review shipped features to ensure quality, consistency, and reusability across systems.
- Analytics & Funnel Diagnostics
Leverage Mixpanel, GA4, and related analytics platforms to identify drop-off points, behavioral trends, and conversion bottlenecks. Analyze performance at the level of individual steps, cohorts, devices, traffic sources, and product lines. Collaborate on event taxonomy and tracking integrity, ensuring accurate instrumentation for form interactions, validation failures, and conditional flows. Provide concise weekly readouts summarizing launches, results, insights, and prioritized next steps.
- Cross-Functional Execution
Partner with Design to enhance UX patterns and messaging informed by data and experimentation insights. Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to ensure targeting, tracking, and measurement frameworks are robust, accurate, and auditable. Utilize behavioral analytics tools such as session replays and heatmaps to diagnose user friction and translate findings into actionable improvements. Coordinate with operational stakeholders to align funnel changes with downstream processes, support workflows, and fulfillment dependencies.
