About the Role:
Eden Center For Integrative Care is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our corrections team in Fort Edward, NY. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and nursing services to incarcerated individuals in a correctional facility setting
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor and document patient health status, vital signs, and changes in condition
- Assist with sick call, intake health screenings, and chronic disease management
- Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and mental health staff to coordinate comprehensive inmate care
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or urgent care as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA and facility regulations
Requirements:
- Active New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
- Prior experience in corrections, behavioral health, or a similar clinical setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and composed in high-stress or unpredictable environments
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to pass a background check and meet correctional facility security clearance requirements
