Maintenance Technician (A&P Required)
Location: Opa-locka, FL
Job Type: Full-time | On-site
Schedule: Flexible; dependent on aircraft maintenance requirements
Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 annually
Travel: Occasional travel for offsite maintenance support
Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician – Cabin Specialty to perform inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft interior systems. This role plays a critical part in ensuring cabin safety, comfort, and operational readiness, while also supporting general aircraft maintenance activities as needed. The ideal candidate brings hands-on interior experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and holds an active FAA A&P certificate. This position requires occasional travel to support offsite maintenance events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks
- Assist with interior inspections required by FAA regulations and manufacturer guidance
- Accurately document all work performed in accordance with FAA and company requirements
- Coordinate cabin readiness with flight crews, maintenance control, and operations teams
- Maintain a clean, safe, and serviceable work environment, including tools and equipment
- Travel as needed to conduct interior or cabin maintenance at remote locations
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repairs on cabin interior components, including but not limited to: Seating, upholstery, and seat mechanisms, Window shades and blinds, Galley equipment and refrigeration systems, Cabinetry, fixtures, and interior finishes
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
- Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
- Valid U.S. Passport
- Demonstrated experience with aircraft interior systems (furnishings, galleys, lighting, etc.)
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform both mechanical and electrical cabin repairs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with Part 135 operational environments
- Ability to work in confined or elevated cabin areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with business jet interiors, such as Challenger 300/600 series
- Premier 1A or comparable aircraft
- Experience with interior refurbishment, modifications, or VIP interior projects
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and work in tight cabin spaces
- Comfortable working with hand tools, diagnostic tools, and maintenance equipment
Tools
- Technician must provide a personal basic toolset
- Specialty and calibrated tooling will be provided by the company
