Looking to join an awesome team in a rewarding environment? Eden Autism is currently seeking full-time Speech-Language Specialists to join the team in our Adult Services (21 ) programs.
Our Speech department is dedicated to expanding and enhancing each individual’s overall receptive, expressive and pragmatic language skills. Working alongside an enthusiastic team of support staff, our Speech-Language Specialists assist with assessment, goal selection, training, and intervention.
We are currently seeking Full-Time, Part-Time & Maternity Leave coverage!
MUST HAVES
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders, preferably with autism.
- Licensed by the state of New Jersey
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Annual salaries starting at $70,000 , commensurate with education and experience!

RESPONSIBILITY SNAPSHOT
- Evaluate speech and language needs to enhance communication skills through each individual’s primary mode including verbal language, sign language, pictures or an augmentative device.
- Participate in the development of ISPs. Define and implement program objectives for each individual through development of short- and long-term goals. Evaluate progress using data collection, standardized and informal assessments.
- Manage maladaptive behaviors including tantrums, self-injury, and aggression. Implement behavior support and education programs as defined in each individual’s ISP. Work with Behavior Analysts and support staff to develop appropriate alternate teaching programs for students.
- Assist with training staff on how to most effectively integrate speech programs into each individual’s daily routine.
- Maintain weekly communication with parents concerning progress and recommendations for home maintenance. Quarterly progress reports; Develop and maintain ISP goals and objectives.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, squat, kneel, stretch, stoop, and/or reach above shoulder level for extended periods of time.
- Ability to pass and maintain Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification, including implementation of all strategies and techniques.
Note: $3,000 signing bonus to be paid in 4 installments during a new hire’s first year of employment. Installments as follows: $500 upon completion of 2-week training; $500 upon completion of 90-day introductory period; $750 upon completion of 6 months of employment; $1250 upon completion of 1 year of employment.
Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
