Logistics Technician

As a key member of the team, the incumbent will be responsible for receiving and shipping functions. He/she will participate in the regulatory and customs compliance of shipments. The incumbent will work with local and international teams to support the company's logistics activities.

As a Logistics Technician, You Must Be Able To

• Shipping, receiving and warehouse management including customer instruments and STO’s.
• Prepare export and import documents in compliance with regulatory and customs requirements;
• Ensure daily shipment to customers in the geographical area, taking into account deadlines, administrative constraints and customs regulations;
• Carry out the follow-up of shipments, the registration of customs documents and their control;
• Communication with the customer for shipment tracking;
• Product handling and storage;
• Receiving, checking and storing products and goods;
• Preparation of deliveries and shipments;
• Labelling, grading and packaging of products and goods;
• Ensure the proper management of the warehouse.
• Maintain accountability for the preparation, booking and management of all customer shipments and transportation, and reporting on KPIs
• Keep customers informed of progress either directly, through liaison with the Sales Support team or through the Sales Order Processing team
• Cross train into areas as defined by management, targeting procurement activities.
  
  

What Makes You An Asset To Our Team

• High school degree or associate degree;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping in a manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge of export/import compliance
• Excellent time and priority management skills;
• Be organized;
• Knowledge of inventory control and manufacturing operations;
• Proficient in MS Office Suite;
• Knowledge of general international shipping rules;
• Knowledge of an ERP system (asset);
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Rigorous, responsive and versatile.
