POSITION SUMMARY:
The Music/Band Instructor will provide an effective instrumental music education to students; duties include all aspects of the band organization, auditions, programming, and rehearsing all music for performances.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The ideal candidate for this position will:
* Communicate with the student body and encourage participation in the band activities;
* Plan, rehearse and direct musical experiences for the school
with some scheduled performances per school year;
* Oversee scheduling and other arrangements for the rehearsals and concerts;
* Order all supplies and materials necessary for band related activities in accordance with established procedures and budget allocations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is required.
* One (1) year teaching experience preferred.
* Certification in Music (P-12) through the Georgia Professional Standards Commission required.
