What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager position at EDCO Products, Inc.?

The Product Manager is a valued member of the EDCO Products’ Sales, Product & Marketing team. This full-time, exempt position is based in Hopkins, MN and reports to the Director of Product Management. This is a position with normal working hours of Monday to Friday between 7:00AM - 4:30PM. This individual is responsible for the development and management of EDCO’s ArrowLine roofing product portfolio.  This individual will serve as the roofing product market expert within EDCO and will be responsible for tracking all competitive and consumer product trends. The Product Manager will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure EDCO provides innovative products, at competitive prices, with quality second-to-none. Success will be defined by your ability to work both on a collaborative and autonomous basis, driving results with team members cross-organizationally, as well as external customers and vendors. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gain a deep understanding of residential & commercial roofing industries to identify and fill product gaps through new product development, and generate new ideas for increased market penetration to grow market share and drive growth 
  • Project Manage EDCO’s new product development process, which includes quantifying market opportunities, developing resource requirements, investment requirements, establishing detailed product specifications, driving project timelines and forecasting sales projections
  • Manage EDCO Product Portfolio to drive a selectively diverse product offering promoting year over year regional sales efficiencies throughout North America
  • Spearhead quality concerns by project managing collaborative root cause investigations with operations and customer service representatives ensuring EDCO operational efficiencies support industry leading quality customers can depend upon 
  • Assist in the development of the annual Product Team budget and product development roadmap to plan and execute future product development 
  • Assist in the development of roofing product, market and value proposition training for Sales and Marketing Team
  • Ready to serve as product and market subject matter expert supporting Customer Service and Inside Sales Teams to promote an A Customer Experience through technical support and special-order requests

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, business management or marketing management
  • 5 years product development and/or product management related experience
  • Experience in building materials industry preferred but not required (Preferred)

  • Office located in Hopkins, MN
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Self-starter

Salary : $95,000 - $140,000
