The Production Lead plays a critical role of the EDCO Products manufacturing team in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations on the manufacturing floor. This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Hopkins, MN and reports to the Production Supervisor. This hands-on position is responsible for coordinating daily production activities, monitoring workflow, and supporting a team of production associates to meet quality, safety, and production goals.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of all safety procedures and policies; promote a culture of safety.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Lean, Kaizen) to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of production team members on assigned shift or production area.
- Monitor production schedules, workflows, and resources to ensure timely completion of products.
- Act as the first point of contact for resolving issues on the floor, escalating concerns to leadership as needed.
- Ability to perform and support setup, changeovers, and operation of machinery and equipment as needed.
- Provide training, coaching, and guidance to team members to ensure understanding of processes and expectations.
- Monitor product quality and assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of production, downtime, scrap, and other key metrics.
- Communicate shift hand-off details and collaborate with other leads/supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Monitor production hour-by-hour charts and address issues in a timely manner
- Daily hour-by-hour data entry on Safety, Quality and Delivery board.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or coursework preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Prior leadership or team lead experience is preferred.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety practices.
- Ability to lead by example with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
