Registered Dietitian – Eating Disorder Treatment ( PART TIME OR Temporary/PRN | Maternity Leave Coverage Jan–Mar/Apr)
Join our specialized clinical team providing nutrition care for adolescents and adults in eating disorder recovery. This role can be part time ongoing or provides maternity leave coverage (January through March/April) with the potential for ongoing PRN/On-Call work.
Work setting: In-person | Overland Park, Kansas
Programs supported: Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), Extended Intensive Outpatient (EIOP)

We’re seeking a compassionate, skilled Registered Dietitian (RD) to support nutrition services within our eating disorder treatment center. You’ll be a key member of a multidisciplinary team and make a direct impact on patient recovery across adolescent and adult programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient-Centered Care: Complete nutrition assessments within 48 hours, create individualized treatment plans, and develop diverse therapeutic meal plans tailored to patient needs.
- Therapeutic Facilitation: Facilitate nutrition/process groups and meal therapy with patients and families, including timely clinical documentation.
- Cross-Program Support: Serve as the primary Adolescent RD and provide coverage for Adult PHP/IOP as needed. Coordinate therapeutic meals with our Chef and ensure dietary needs and allergens are addressed.
- Collaboration & Communication: Participate in multidisciplinary staffing and coordinate continuity of care, including communication with outpatient RDs and referral partners.
- Program Excellence & Compliance: Stay current with EDCare guidelines and maintain compliance with HIPAA, The Joint Commission, and state/local health codes.
Logistics & Details
- Job Type: Temporary / PRN (Hourly)
- Coverage Period: January through March/April (approximate), with potential PRN/On-Call afterward
- Location: In-person (Kansas City – KC Clinical Support)
- Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn an EMR
- Schedule: Ideally, Monday-Friday, during programing hours but there is flexibility.

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition required.
2. Registered Dietitian required.
3. Licensed as a Dietitian in the state of Kansas within 90 days required.
4. Experience working with adolescents preferred.
5. Experience working individually and in groups, preferably with eating disordered clients preferred.
6. Clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis preferred.
7. Good oral and written communication skills preferred.
Salary : $28 - $50
