DESCRIPTION
- Technical Oversight: Verify that equipment installation matches layout drawings, engineering specs, and plant standards.
- Conveyor Coordination: Act as the subject matter expert for conveyor assembly and site preparation, ensuring smooth transitions between paint and assembly shops.
- Installation Verification: Conduct inspections for mechanical alignment, anchoring, and component torquing.
- Utilities Coordination: Ensure the facility is "plug-in ready" (power, air, data) before equipment arrival.
- Field Engineering: Provide real-time solutions for field modifications when site conditions differ from original designs.
REQUIREMENTS
- Automotive design engineer, Industrial engineer, Mechanical engineer or related field of study.
- Industry Experience: Extensive background in Automotive Final Assembly and conveyor technology.
- Project Skills: High proficiency in coordination and controlling multiple activities in a high-pressure construction environment.
- Software: Proficiency in MS Office, Jira, and Confluence for tracking progress.
- Availability: Must be able to support daily on-site presence in Blythewood, SC, including approved weekend work.
