Job Summary

Monitor projects from planning to completion, including tasks such as budgeting and scheduling. Follow quality standards and ensure the safety and security of the construction site. High level of customer relations.

This position is onsite out of our Elizabeth, NJ location.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate the construction of exterior building systems for multiple projects
• Drive safe and cost-effective construction management techniques and strategies
• Hire, train, and mentor foremen
• Assist foremen in developing their workforce
• Direct and oversee the daily operation of subcontractors with a focus on safety, schedule, and quality
• Work in partnership with project managers to identify and address issues of constructability during the pre-construction phase
• Develop comprehensive plans for project strategy including safety plans, financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
• Communicate constraints to the achievement of our project strategies to the project team for the purpose of creating a continuous flow of progress
• Work in partnership with project management to effectively adapt our planning to meet the needs of changing project conditions
• Manage manpower and equipment levels to meet our schedule commitments
• Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences, and culture.
• Develop and manage a quality control process for each project

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• 5 years of commercial exterior building experience
• 3 years’ experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry
• Commercial roofing experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications and scopes of work is required.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and regulations. OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficient in Windows operating systems and associated software
• Experience working on smartphones and tablets
• Travel required
