Statistical Analyst & Programmer (Internship)

We are seeking a skilled Statistical Analyst & Python or R Programmers to develop and maintain open-source scripts that support cutting-edge clinical research. This role requires expertise in designing and executing statistical procedures, generating or sourcing data, ensuring robust code quality (through unit tests and documentation), and collaborating closely with research teams. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mathematics or statistics, a genuine interest in free-and-open-source-software and/or clinical and experimental research, and familiarity with version control best practices.

Qualifications

Programming Skills

- Proficiency in Python (preferred); experience with R or SAS is a plus.  

- Familiarity with Python package management (e.g., pip, conda) and package development.  

- Solid knowledge of version control commands and GitHub workflows.

Statistics & Analytics

- Strong foundation in statistical methods and experimental design, preferably in a clinical research context.  

- Experience with data cleaning, wrangling, visualization, and interpretation of results.

Soft Skills

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas to non-technical audiences.

- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Considerations

- Experience with clinical research data, including regulatory standards, is advantageous.  

- Demonstrated history of publishing or contributing to open-source or research-oriented projects is a plus.
