What are the responsibilities and job description for the Porter position at Ed Voyles Automotive Group?
Keep the lot moving. Keep customers happy. Get paid to drive.
If you like staying on your feet, hate watching the clock, and want a job where no two hours look the same, this is it. Our porters and valets are the first people customers see and the last people who hand them their keys. You're the reason the whole store runs on time.
What you'll do
- Move new and pre-owned vehicles between the lot, service drive, detail, and showroom
- Greet service customers, check vehicles in, and get them where they need to go
- Stage vehicles for sales deliveries so every customer drives off in a clean car
- Run occasional dealer trades and parts or vehicle pickups
- Keep the lot organized, inventory lined up, and the service drive clear
You'll do well here if you
- Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
- Stay calm and quick when the service drive is backed up
- Take pride in getting the small things right
- Show up on time and want to be counted on
- Bring a good attitude to every customer, every time
What you get
- Pay: competitive hourly pay
- Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off
- A foot in the door with a multi-store dealership group, where good porters move into service, detail, sales, and parts
No dealership experience? That's fine. We train. Bring the hustle and we'll handle the rest.
