Ed Smith Tree Service LLC is looking for an experienced and dependable ISA Certified Tree Climber to join our growing team in Spokane, WA.
The ideal candidate is an experienced arborist who takes pride in quality workmanship, prioritizes safety, and works well as part of a professional tree-care crew.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional tree climbing, pruning, trimming, and removals
- Safely operate chainsaws and arboricultural equipment
- Perform rope and rigging operations for controlled lowering
- Identify tree, equipment, and job-site hazards
- Follow safe climbing and rigging procedures
- Communicate effectively with the ground crew
- Maintain and inspect climbing, rigging, and personal protective equipment
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized job site
- Provide professional service while working on residential and commercial properties
Qualifications
- ISA Certified Tree Worker – Climber Specialist preferred
- Professional tree-climbing experience required
- Strong climbing, rigging, pruning, and removal skills
- Experience operating chainsaws safely
- Strong understanding of tree and job-site hazards
- Dependable transportation and reliable attendance
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work outdoors and perform physically demanding work
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Pay
$35–$45 per hour, based on experience, certifications, climbing ability, and technical skills.
Experienced climbers with advanced rigging and large-tree removal experience are encouraged to apply.
