Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, grinding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Apply primer, base coats, clear coats, and touch-up paints using airless paint spraying equipment and hand tools
- Use buffing machines and polishing compounds to achieve a flawless shine on painted surfaces
- Perform auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel alignment, welding, and heavy lifting to restore vehicle structure
- Conduct detailing tasks including cleaning, polishing, and finishing touches to enhance overall vehicle appearance
- Assist with auto glass replacement and minor mechanical repairs as needed to support comprehensive vehicle restoration
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and power tools
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto body painting within a dealership or collision repair setting is highly preferred
- Skilled in auto painting techniques including airless spray application and buffing methods
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes such as dent removal, auto restoration, and auto estimating procedures
- Ability to lift heavy parts safely and perform detailed detailing work with precision
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, auto glass installation, and auto estimating software is advantageous
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude toward client interactions and team collaboration
