Overview
We are looking for a Plumbing Estimator who will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including office buildings, retail centers, healthcare, education and mixed-use developments. The roll requires deep knowledge of plumbing means and methods, excellent analytical skills and string communication to work closely with internal teams, subcontractors, clients, vendors, and design professionals throughout all phases of preconstruction.
Responsibilities
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Develop and manage estimates across all phases
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to negotiate pricing and contract terms.
- Perform quantity take-offs
- Solicit and review subcontractor and supplier pricing and scope.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supply house bids for completeness, accuracy, and coverage.
- Develop cost breakdowns
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and constructability issues.
Project Development:
- Find projects to bid on
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients during preconstruction process
- Assist with project scheduling, logistics planning and preliminary risk analysis.
- Support proposal and bid preparation including narratives, clarifications, and exclusions.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, codes, and methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specs and contracts

- Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
