Position Summary
Trades Apprentice is a youth apprenticeship program designed to connect talented students with growing industry trades in our area. It is an industry-led initiative where participants work closely with the school system, local community college and community partners to address skills needs and gaps. Apprentices gain on-the-job training, related classroom instruction in a progressive wage position.
Minimum Requirements
- Be a high school junior; program begins the summer of your senior year
- Minimum of a 2.0 GPA and have few courses needed to graduate
- Be able to work 10-15 hours per week and complete graduation requirements
- Acceptable high school attendance and discipline record
- Be willing to make a firm commitment to the trades program
- Be able to pass a drug screening and background check
- Have a valid ID
