Ocean Freight Specialist Wanted
About ECU Worldwide USA:
- We are one of the largest neutral freight consolidators in the USA.
- We have 9 offices across the American market and 24 receiving stations throughout the country.
We are looking for an Ocean Freight Specialist to join our team. As an Ocean Freight Specialist, you will be responsible for providing ocean LCL export quotes and bookings, including inland/door moves at origin, on-carriage services, and DAP/DDP services at destination.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have prior industry experience preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Respond to phone and email rate or booking requests from clients, partners, agents, or outside sales representatives.
- Work with truck brokers and asset-based carriers to schedule cargo pickup within North America for delivery into designated terminals.
- Utilize various tools to obtain, calculate, and provide door delivery, destination handling charges, and customs clearance quotes at destination CFS when requested.
Key Requirements:
- Prior industry experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
