This position is eligible for:

• $5,000 Sign-On Bonus
• $2,500 retention bonus at 12 months

Located in Culver City, ACCESS LA is a referral hospital with 24hour Emergency services, where our technicians encounter all sort of cases when working closely with some of the most qualified doctors in the country. Add that we have numerous specialty departments and it’s possible a tech’s day could involve a Macaw with a broken beak, time in one of our many advanced operating rooms, watching our Orthopedic Surgeons replace a dog’s elbow, or operating an MRI. It’s a long list of unique experiences best suited to those who absolutely love caring for sick or injured animals in a high-paced, renowned animal hospital.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function,assistveterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity andmaintainpositive patient flow.
• Assistwith surgeries and proceduresin accordance withyour state's Veterinary Practice Act outlined for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance onThrive Membershipoptions, medications, andadditionaltreatments.
• Assistinmaintainingrelevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients andmaintainmedical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
  
  

Experience & Skills Requirements:

• RVT license required
• Understanding of anesthesia protocols including pre-anesthetic assessments, drug dosages, and post anesthesia care
• Proficiency in monitoring equipment, administering anesthesia, and responding to anesthesia related emergencies
• Attention to detail, ensuring precise dosages, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining detailed patient records
• Have an established record of working extensively in soft tissue surgeries
• Enjoy being a key player on a dynamic team providing the highest standard of patient care

Compensation:

Non Credentialed Assistants $21/hr - $36/hr

Licensed Technicians -$26/hr - $42/hr

VTS - $43/hr - $45/hr
