Position Summary
The Program Coordinator assists the Director in planning, implementing, facilitating and evaluating of internal and/or external events and programs. The coordinator also supports engagement and outreach operations. Develops relationships with and acts as a liaison to internal and external customers/partners. Assists with data collection, data entry and other computer needs supporting entity objectives as appropriate. Attends various meetings and assists leaders to meet entity needs.
Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and facilitates a variety of internal/outreach and programs. This requires independent oversight of the program to include planning, implementing, decision making and logistical management of the program. Develops and implements proposals for quality programming and event process improvement.
Monitors, tracks and reports budgetary needs. Tracks annual operating expenses for programs and creates proposals for budget planning, individual event planning and proposed development programming.
Serves as a representative on entity and community committees as needed.
Manages program databases and produces reports as needed. Collects data and program statistics and generates reports/tables & graphs as indicated to assure communication of program functions and achievements.
Performs special projects as requested.
Responds to requests from stakeholders and coordinates participation in events that align with our mission and strategic plan.
Monitors status of all projects on a regular basis, notifying leadership when an action and or additional support is needed meet goals and deadlines.
Performs general clerical duties including photocopying, scanning and faxing as assigned, scheduling meetings and taking minutes.
Works well with respective hospital departments, volunteers and others to ensure accuracy and cooperation. Work may also include programs at off-site locations and/or community/business locations.
Effectively maintains records (hard copy and computer files) in an organized manner necessary for tracking and implementation of projects and events.
Partners with other program coordinators to optimize internal/outreach events to be inclusive.
Works with marketing department to increase awareness of programs.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree or higher is required
Bachelor's degree preferred.
One to two years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Community Relations, Program Administration, or related field.
Programs and events may take place outside of standard business hours, so flexible hours may be required at certain times.
Pay Range
$18.74 - $27.32
Starting pay in the Outer Banks Hospital/Outer Banks Medical Group market may be higher to reflect local market competitiveness.
Other Information
Shift expectations: 1st shift: 8:00am-5:00pm with evening and weekend event work.
