Position Summary

A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is a Nuclear Medicine professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using radioactive tracers and related diagnostic procedures. The scope of practice of the Nuclear Medicine Technologist includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, and has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARRT (N) and/or CNMT certification(s) which is the standard practice in Nuclear Medicine.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Current Registered Nuclear Medicine technologist ARRT (NM) or CNMT or registry eligible and registry must be obtained within 18 months from date of hire
  • 0 years of experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist

  • Primary Shift: PRN (as needed)
  • This team works primarily Monday - Friday, but on call service is provided for the hospital for 4 hours each weekend day
  • On Call: Yes
  • Weekends: Rotating
  • IMPORTANT: This position is listed as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I, but based on the minimum requirements that are met, the candidate of choice will be hired as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist I, II, III or IV.
