The Laboratory Assistant processes outpatient test requests.
As a Laboratory Assistant, you will:
- Perform venous and capillary collection of blood specimens for analysis and process specimens for analysis and reference testing. With supervision, may perform waived and moderately complex testing. May perform chain-of-custody drug collections. Perform various other support services for the laboratory as assigned and maintain required documentation to comply with accrediting agencies.
- Perform duties consistent with written procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Support the department in achieving department goals for service, quality, regulatory compliance, financial performance, patient satisfaction, healthy work environment, and integration of intra and inter-departmental activities.
- High School Diploma, Equivalent, or higher
- Completion of a structured phlebotomy training course and clinical rotation is recommended.
- 6 months experience in a hospital or reference laboratory setting, physician office, outpatient clinic, or other medical setting

- PRN, As Needed
- Required to work: Days, Evening, Nights, and Weekends per operational demand needs
- On-Call rotation required
