Responsibilities
- Works as part of a system, entity, or work unit to develop and deliver education to identified audiences.
- Communicate effectively with staff and management regarding educational needs and offerings. Coordinate educational activities with the assigned area leadership.
- Establish and maintain a departmental educational documentation system consistent with regulatory and hospital standards.
- Works closely with new hires and current staff within assigned locations to facilitate orientation, competency validation and meet ongoing learning needs
- Provides instruction to the assigned clinical area through research materials, lectures, curriculum planning, formal training methods and on-the-job instruction techniques.
- Assesses the training needs and progress of staff members; research, develops and evaluates in-service training programs.
- Assess and develop annual service line educational needs and plans incorporating educational tools to enhance quality education and best practices.
- Master of science in Nursing required or Master of science in Social Work required.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Adherence to the credentialing requirements of ECU Health as stated in the nursing bylaws required or Licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina preferred.
- Care management certification required within 1 year of hire.
- 3( ) years of experience in an acute hospital care management service line is required.
- Experience with adult/pediatric education and experience with designing and delivering training curriculum preferred.
