Position Summary
The Device Technician supports the operations of the Device Clinic at East Carolina Heart Institute by assisting with the interrogation, programming, and documentation of
implantable cardiac devices (pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders). This role works in collaboration with electrophysiologists, APPs, and nursing staff to ensure accurate reporting, timely patient follow-up, and optimal patient care.

Minimum Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required or higher
- Completion of an industry-recognized device certification course (e.g., IBHRE or vendor-specific training) preferred or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- American Heart Association BLS required
- Experience with Epic and/or device-specific software platforms is desirable
- One year of experience working in cardiology or electrophysiology preferred
- Strong knowledge of implantable cardiac devices and familiarity with device manufacturers' programmers (e.g., Medtronic, Boston Scientific, Abbott, Biotronik) preferred
- Primary Shift: Day
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
- No nights, weekends or holidays
- On Call: No
- Weekends: No
