Position Summary
The Laboratory Manager administers policies, manages personnel and daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the Pathology-Chemistry department.
As the Laboratory Manager, you will:
Maintain adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing and assures adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored.
Monitor current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies. (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, Federal Regulations, and AABB).
Develop, plan and audit departmental goals and budget.
Monitor and serves as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students, and Departmental/Hospital committees.
Minimum Requirements
BS Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or Biologic Science. A four- year degree is required for Managers of non-testing areas.
- Five (5) years of current/related clinical laboratory experience in Department Specialty or area of concentration is required.
- Two (2) years of supervisory experience in the laboratory or clinical setting is required.
Licensure/Certification: MLS/MT (ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent) certification is required.

- 40 hours per week
- Monday - Friday (primarily 7:30 am - 4 pm)
- Rotational weekends and holidays (set rotational schedule)
