What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Technician - Environmental Services position at ECU Health Medical Center?
Position Summary
The Area Technician is responsible for the daily cleaning and disinfecting of rooms and public areas, furnishings and assigned work areas, removal and disposal of soiled waste and linen, performing floor care and carpet care and general detail cleaning to ensure that the facility is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The Area Technician must follow established policies and procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation if maintained throughout the hospital.
Minimum Requirements
GED or High School Diploma preferred- or higher.
Other Information
Full time with benefits - 40 hours per week
Day shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00a-3:30p
Rotating weekends with one day off before and one day off after the weekend.
