HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

We are not only looking for amazing team members who will help us in the mission to move our children forward but want someone who wants to move their career!  We are currently looking for a Dispatcher who will coordinate the operations of the bus fleet and other vehicles.  You will be accountable for establishing and maintaining positive, effective working relationships with transportation employees, school staff, parents, and the community.

What we’ll trust you with:

• Developing bus routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day
• Collaborating with management to modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of clients
• Acting as a communication liaison with drivers on the road and answering incoming phone calls from parents and schools
• Cultivating strong relationships with drivers and customers to reduce the stress that comes with last-minute schedule changes
• Monitoring any sudden route changes or road construction issues and working with drivers to establish new routes for timely pick-up/drop off
• Planning, scheduling, and assigning driver personnel for transportation vehicle operations
• Dispatching while coordinating routes and stops for student rides
• Receiving and dispatch routes and tracking/updating call logs and data
• Keeping clear and accurate records
• Delivering superior customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Other duties as needed to get the work done successfully

What matters most for this role:

• You have a strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate area
• Completed a High School diploma/GED
• 2 years of transportation experience is desired, but not required
• Willingness to work in a diverse organization with many high-pressure situations
• Bilingual communication skills are preferred, particularly the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, families, and community members from diverse backgrounds
• You learn quickly and have professional written and oral communication skills

Salary : $25 - $28
