As a Geotechnical Team Manager, you strive to lead both your team and your profits. Responsibilities
- Project management responsibilities include preparation of proposals and invoicing, management of project progress with respect to budget, and collection efforts
- Participate in marketing and business development with a focus on maintaining regular client contacts
- Supervise a team of employees with an emphasis on growth and financial performance
- Manage the team for growth with a strong emphasis on technical work execution and business development
- Oversee schedules and review employee time and expenses to ensure that they are correctly recorded and coded for billing
- Conduct and/or assist with coaching, performance evaluations, discipline, and termination of employees
- Assist with recruiting and maintaining appropriate staff levels with approval by your management
Qualifications
BS or MS in Civil Engineering or Geological Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university; MSCE with geotechnical emphasis preferred
5-8 years of civil/geotechnical engineering experience
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain one within three months
