Responsibilities
ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for a Building Enclosure Associate II to join our Southeast Facilities team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you'll work on projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.
- Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
Involvement in projects including but not limited to:
Inspections of Building Enclosures
Building Enclosure Testing
Building Enclosure Assessments
Air Leakage Testing
Construction Quality Assurance Observations
Roofing Assessments
Design Specification Review
Field Performance Testing
Building Enclosure commissioning consulting
- Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
- Occasional field and laboratory testing
- Assisting with preparation of reports, proposals, and projects
- Assisting with projects as needed
- Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
- Scheduling and oversight of facilities technicians
- Mentoring other staff
- Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
- 0-2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
In lieu of education, 4 years as ECS Facilities Staff Associate or equivalent combination of experience, certification, and education required. Experience with non-destructive testing preferred.
