Responsibilities

ECS is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Building Enclosure Associate III to join our Mid-Atlantic Facilities team in Roanoke, VA In this role, you'll lead projects involving inspections, testing, assessments, and commissioning of building enclosures for existing structures. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality consulting solutions to a diverse range of facilities and clients.

  • Testing and consulting services for the built environment, property condition assessments, specialized testing, building enclosure consulting, forensic investigation analysis, and design of repairs to existing structures, among other facilities-related services
  • Management of projects including but not limited to:
  • Inspections of building enclosures
  • Building Enclosure Testing
  • Building Enclosure Assessments
  • Air Leakage Testing
  • Construction Quality Assurance Observations
  • Roofing Assessments
  • Design Specification Review
  • Field Performance Testing
  • Building Enclosure commissioning consulting
  • Exhibiting responsibility, organization, reliability, time management, and self-motivation
  • Occasional field and laboratory testing
  • Interacting with senior staff members on a variety of projects
  • Preparing reports and proposals
  • Maintaining and develop a client database
  • Managing budgets and prepare invoices
  • Mentoring other staff
  • Promoting a safe workplace and proper use of PPE

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • B.Arch or M.Arch (NCARB) accredited by National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) or BS in Engineering, Building Science, or related degree from an ABET accredited college/university preferred
  • 2 years of relevant building facilities consulting experience required
  • Licensed or certified as at least one of the following preferred:
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.), Registered Architect (R.A.), International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC) offered RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC, CBECxP, or University of Wisconsin-Madison offered BECxP and CxA BE
