What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building & Code Compliance Inspector position at ECS Florida, LLC?
Responsibilities
- Perform third party electrical, mechanical, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire safety building inspections
- Perform inspections of foundations, concrete slabs, framing, roofing and related construction activity
- Perform plan reviews and determine if the permitted design plans may require revisions and make recommendations to the contractors, engineers and/or architect
- Prepare and submit daily time and Inspection/Field Reports in accordance with ECS Policy
- Market our services by maintaining and developing client interactions and participating in business development and marketing functions related to construction inspections
- Follow ECS safety procedures and policies
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
2 years of experience in code compliance inspection of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
- NCP CCI commercial certification in mechanical, electrical and plumbing required
- Certifications are required for all types of testing performed.
- Additional licenses or certifications may be required depending on the state in which you work.
- Extensive knowledge of state and local building code regulations, policies, and procedures
- If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.
