Automotive Claims Representative
ECP Incorporated is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Claims Representative I who has the ability to define problems, collect data and demonstrate attention to detail. We are searching for a Claims Representative that has had experience dealing with automotive claims and understanding estimates and corresponding with consumers.
Summary: Responsible for processing product warranty insurance claims and corresponding with customers, insurance adjusters and distributors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives warranty claims from customers. Sets up files, enters claim information in computer, types correspondence to customers for a designated territory.
- Corresponds with customers, adjusters, body shops, and distributors regarding warranty claims. Coordinates the processing of claims with inspection center, damage estimate review, and payment request.
- Negotiates rates and services with providers to ensure the most cost effective remedy is utilized
- Maintains computer notes regarding information on individual claims.
- Maintains contact with customers, sales representatives, and appraisers on problem claims.
- Initiates approval and denial letters for claims with the assistance of the Administration Supervisor.
- Inputs claims check requests for Administration Supervisor approval.
Education and Experience:1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
