Onsite Laundry Supervisors
Basic Purpose:
The Onsite Laundry Technicians are responsible for distributing all laundry received from the offsite laundry to the designated units within the hospital, collecting soiled laundry from designated points within the site, as well as operating the onsite laundry machines providing personal clothing service for residents.
Onsite laundry technicians need to work closely with their supervisors and hospital staff members to ensure that adequate laundry is being delivered to the users and that tasks are completed efficiently.
Laundry Distribution:
- Restock exchange carts with laundry (in some cases)
- Take fresh exchange carts to designated areas each day.
- Restock all “top up areas” in the site.
- Identify stains and place-stained items in the black mesh bags
- Order laundry from the central laundry
- Other tasks as required
Soiled Laundry:
- Collect carts of soiled laundry from a variety of locations within the hospital.
- Take the soiled laundry carts to the loading dock area
Additional Info: * It is expected that all team leaders meet or beat the productivity standards that are set for each of the positions.
- It is expected that the team leaders communicate with others to ensure that the laundry is processed correctly, and special requests are taken care of.
Required Qualifications:
- A reliable form of transportation.
- Can communicate with others in proficient oral and written English
- Ability to Pass a Criminal Check (required for hospital security)
- Mandatory Immunizations (as required by the health authority)
- Able to use a computer proficiently.
- Leadership ability
- Good attitude, and teamwork ability

- Fast Paced
