About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Collections Account Representative to support accounts receivable operations across our East Coast locations, including Dover and Freehold, NJ and Sterling, VA.

This role is responsible for managing past-due accounts, supporting cash flow, and working directly with customers to resolve outstanding balances while maintaining positive relationships.

What You'll Do

• Monitor aging reports and identify past-due accounts
• Contact customers by phone, email, and written communication to collect outstanding balances
• Negotiate payment arrangements and follow up to ensure commitments are met
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with internal teams
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activity and customer communication
• Escalate accounts to management or third-party collections when needed
• Provide regular updates on account status, risks, and collection trends
• Support month-end close activities related to accounts receivable
• Maintain professionalism while handling sensitive financial conversations

Must-Have Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer account management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to handle difficult conversations with professionalism and tact
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
• High school diploma or GED

Nice-to-Have Skills

• ServiceTitan experience
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

Schedule & Location

• Monday to Friday, standard business hours
• On-site in Dover, NJ
• Supports collections for Dover, Freehold, NJ, and Sterling, VA
