What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Engineer (Energy, Mechanical & Decarbonization) position at Ecosystem?
Do you want to Engineer the Future of Energy Efficiency Projects?
Join Ecosystem and help transform how buildings consume energy. We modernize energy infrastructure in the built environment through bold engineering, heat electrification, and integrated project delivery. If you're a creative Project Design Engineer ready to bring innovative, sustainable infrastructure solutions to life - this is where your ideas make an impact!
Who we are
At Ecosystem, we believe we should be accountable for results. That’s why we've integrated engineering and construction, seeing our projects through from design concept to implementation and commissioning. And that's how we can efficiently solve complex energy challenges in the built environment.
Here are some of the projects we've been working on recently: San Diego Padres Stadium, Con Edison: Utility Thermal Energy Network; Museum of Arts and Design.
Why this role matters
At Ecosystem, you won’t work on standard projects with off-the-shelf solutions. You’ll take on existing, energy-intensive, and complex buildings, designed at a time when energy was inexpensive. Every mandate is unique and requires critical thinking, creativity, and resourcefulness. You'll be involved in the development of energy performance projects, from audits to construction through to performance validation. Here, you won’t be handed a manual. We’ll tell you what the building needs to achieve, and you’ll have the freedom, resources, and toolbox to determine how to get there.
