Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $80,000 annually
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Ecoslay is seeking an experienced Email & SMS Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own and scale one of our most important revenue channels. This role is responsible for end-to-end lifecycle marketing execution and optimization across email and SMS, with a strong emphasis on segmentation, automation, personalization, and conversion-driven strategy.
This is a highly hands-on role for a lifecycle marketer who thrives in Klaviyo, understands how email drives repeat purchase and LTV, and can balance creative storytelling with data-backed performance.
You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Manager to evolve strategy, test aggressively, and continuously optimize campaigns and flows for a fast-growing, mission-driven beauty brand.
- Own Ecoslay’s email and SMS lifecycle strategy, with email positioned as a primary revenue driver
- Map and optimize the full customer journey—from acquisition through retention and win-back
- Align lifecycle initiatives with product launches, promotions, seasonal moments, and brand storytelling
- Identify growth opportunities across frequency, cadence, personalization, and lifecycle depth
- Build, manage, and continuously optimize advanced Klaviyo flows, including but not limited to:
- Welcome & onboarding
- Post-purchase education and routine building
- Replenishment and predictive reorder reminders
- Abandoned browse, cart, and checkout
- Win-back, churn prevention, and re-engagement
- Develop sophisticated segmentation frameworks based on:
- Customer lifecycle stage
- Purchase behavior and frequency
- Product affinity and hair concerns
- Engagement signals and predicted LTV
- Implement personalization and dynamic content to increase relevance and conversion
- Plan, build, QA, and deploy promotional and non-promotional email and SMS campaigns
- Write or collaborate on messaging that feels educational, intentional, and customer-first
- Execute rigorous A/B and multivariate testing across:
- Subject lines and preview text
- Creative and layout
- Messaging hierarchy and CTAs
- Send time, cadence, and segmentation
- Apply learnings quickly to improve performance at scale
- Build and edit emails using HTML and CSS to ensure clean rendering, accessibility, and deliverability
- Troubleshoot formatting and rendering issues across inboxes and devices
- Maintain list hygiene and support deliverability best practices
- Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and SMS regulations
- Monitor and analyze key metrics including:
- Revenue per send
- Conversion rate
- Engagement (open rate, CTR)
- Deliverability and unsubscribe rate
- Translate performance data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Regularly report on lifecycle performance and revenue contribution
- Continuously refine flows and campaigns based on data, not assumptions
- 5 years of experience in email and lifecycle marketing for e-commerce or DTC brands
- Deep, hands-on expertise in Klaviyo (email and SMS)
- Proven experience owning email as a revenue channel, not just a support channel
- Strong command of lifecycle strategy, automation, and segmentation
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email development and troubleshooting
- Demonstrated experience with testing frameworks and performance optimization
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to pivot quickly based on results
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with creative, growth, and operations teams
- Portfolio required: examples of lifecycle flows, campaigns, or programs you’ve built and managed (with context on goals and results)
Nice to Have
- Experience in beauty, hair care, or CPG
- Familiarity with mission-driven, sustainability-focused, or values-led brands
- Experience with advanced Klaviyo features (predictive analytics, custom properties, dynamic content)
- Email and SMS programs that drive consistent, measurable revenue
- Strong lifecycle coverage with minimal drop-off across the customer journey
- Increased repeat purchase rate, engagement, and retention
- A culture of testing, iteration, and data-informed decision-making
- Messaging that builds trust and loyalty—not inbox fatigue
Interested candidates should submit a resume and relevant email or lifecycle marketing work samples. This may include campaigns, flows, or programs you’ve built and optimized, especially examples that show how you think about segmentation, automation, and revenue impact.
