The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the installation, repair, and upkeep of mechanical systems within the plant.
What You Will Be Doing
- Establish and maintain a culture of accountability in the maintenance group
- Provide daily supervision to the mechanical maintenance group.
- Work with the ECC to optimize distribution of department manpower.
- Responsible for ensuring that Maintenance is performed in an economical manner.
- Work with the planner to develop long term & shutdown plans & schedules.
- Make sure all aspects of job HSE are considered before work begins (permits, LOTO, etc.)
- Give safety meetings & train mechanics as needed.
- Assist engineering & perform project work.
- Perform administrative duties as needed (i.e. time approval, vacation scheduling, etc.).
- Manage the mechanical backlog as well as the applicable mechanical safety backlog items.
- Assist in ensuring equipment reliability by following good maintenance practices in repairs, inspections, preventive & predictive maintenance, as well as following the appropriate standards for new equipment installation.
- Ensure that maintenance group activities are compliant with plant and corporate HSE policy as well as state and federal regulations.
- Min 7 plus years of industrial plant or refinery experience. Previous Supervisory experience is preferred
- High school diploma or (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Transportation Worker’s Identification Credentials (TWIC)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math and computer skills
- Must have good fundamental knowledge of maintenance practices in rotating equipment repair, pipefitting, welding & rigging, as well as other supplemental maintenance practices
