Day Shift- Monday thru Friday
We are seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Reliability Specialist to lead troubleshooting, diagnostics, and reliability improvements for production equipment across multiple facilities. This dual-role position blends advanced maintenance expertise with engineering support, making it ideal for a senior-level technician with strong technical and leadership skills. You’ll manage projects from concept to completion, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help develop the maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose recurring machine malfunctions and develop failure mitigation plans.
- Repair and upgrade electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using precision tools and testing devices.
- Plan and implement robust Preventive and Predictive Maintenance (TPM/PM) programs, including schedules and audits.
- Manage local and satellite projects including design, quoting, contractor coordination, installation, and testing.
- Install conduit, wiring, air/water/hydraulic piping, and related systems with minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams; create sketches as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair motor drives, temperature controllers, PLCs, and computer-based controllers.
- Perform functional and operational tests to ensure equipment reliability.
- Collaborate on Continuous Improvement initiatives (FMEA, Root Cause Analysis, Data Analysis).
- Train, coach, and develop maintenance technicians. Prioritize technical issues and report high-risk areas promptly.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; advanced technical degree or apprenticeship preferred.
- 7 years of industrial maintenance experience in electro-mechanical systems.
- Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and machine shop tools.
- Advanced electrical skills: circuit troubleshooting, VFD installation, motor controls (120/240/480 volts).
- Experience with PLC troubleshooting and advanced electrical test tools (multimeter, oscilloscope, amp meter).
- Ability to read and modify blueprints and schematics.
- Strong project management skills for small to medium projects.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 6S principles.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Effective computer skills for email, PM schedules, and work orders. Valid PA driver’s license; ability to operate box truck or flatbed.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and hazardous materials. PPE required: safety glasses, steel/composite toe boots, ear protection.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift up to 130 lbs occasionally (with assistance or equipment). Manual dexterity for material handling and equipment operation.
