Job Summary
The Logistics Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of logistics and production support operations. This role ensures the efficient flow of materials, parts, and products throughout the supply chain while optimizing production planning, managing inventory, and coordinating cross-functional activities to meet customer demand and delivery commitments. The Logistics Manager provides strategic leadership to staff and departments, driving performance, development, and continuous improvement across all logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead logistics strategy, analyzing production capacity and demand to identify potential bottlenecks and implement long-term solutions.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize logistics resources, production support, and customer fulfillment.
- Establish and manage annual, monthly, and daily logistics and production support plans aligned with demand forecasts and business goals.
- Provide full leadership for personnel-related functions including staffing, performance management, coaching, development, and disciplinary actions as required.
- Direct and mentor supervisory staff to foster a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and manage departmental performance measures, maintaining visual controls and delivering regular progress reports to senior leadership.
- Oversee ERP system usage for production and logistics performance, ensuring accuracy of data, closing manufacturing orders, and maintaining system integrity.
- Align logistics and production plans daily to ensure operational targets and customer delivery schedules are met.
- Lead warehousing operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and strict inventory control.
- Maintain accurate records of production support and inventory data, reconciling monthly balances and resolving discrepancies.
- Manage procurement and inventory of KD (Knock-Down) imported parts and materials, ensuring supply continuity.
- Direct shipping and delivery processes, including the preparation of instructions and monitoring delivery performance.
- Track logistics-related equipment downtime, implementing preventive measures and coordinating maintenance to minimize disruptions.
- Oversee the scheduling and delivery performance of After Service (A/S) parts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership/supervisory role.
- Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills with a track record of driving results.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and logistics/production data management.
- High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Korean language proficiency required.
