What started as a family business in a small, two-story building at 219 S. Ochoa in 1958 now includes multiple sites, a distribution center, and a customer service center, with goals of further expansion in the near future. As a family-run business, we care about the people and areas we serve. What we are looking for

A highly motivated individual who provides outstanding customer service and receives payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards from customers and/or employees in exchange for goods or services. Maintain accurate cash control over the register drawer. Manage returns and refunds as necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets customers in a courteous and professional manner, by name when possible.

• Operates cash register and scans merchandise accurately and in a timely manner. 

• Receives payment from customers and/or employees; accurately issues change as needed; issues receipts.

• Refunds cash or issues credit to customers for returned merchandise.  

• Reconciles cash register tape with cash and receipts on hand at end of shift.

• Maintains assigned aisles on assigned days.

• Maintains displays in surrounding area neatly organized when needed.

• Maintains work area clean and disinfected.

• Follows all policies and procedures for card, check, and cash payments.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by management or supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to maintain a friendly demeanor when working under pressure.

• Working knowledge of payment methods.

• Proficiency with high volumes of cash. 

• Creative, flexible, and innovative team player 

• Bilingual skills are a plus.

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• 2 years of cashiering experience

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. 

• Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds. 

• Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.

Location:

Position is for our 1500 E. Paisano, El Paso, TX 79901 store.

Working hours:

Rotating Schedule: 

Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am - 2:00pm
