Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install insulation materials such as fiberglass, foam, and mineral wool
- Apply insulation to pipes, boilers, ducts, and refrigeration systems
- Remove and replace damaged or outdated insulation
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and safety guidelines
- Secure insulation using adhesives, wire, bands, or tape
- Install vapor barriers and weatherproofing materials
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations
- Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in insulation or construction work is a plus
- Ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements
- Familiarity with insulation materials and installation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials
- Knowledge of workplace safety practices
- OSHA Safety Certification
- NCCER Certification in Insulation
- Scaffolding and/or fall protection training
- Construction sites, industrial plants, refineries, or commercial buildings
- Exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise
- Travel may be required depending on job site
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods
- Lift 50 lbs
- Work in elevated or confined spaces
