General Laundry Associate
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager
Location: Economy Linen & Towel Service, Inc.
Position Summary
The General Laundry Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in the production area to ensure linens and textiles are processed efficiently, safely, and according to company quality standards. This role supports the overall laundry operation by assisting with sorting, washing, drying, folding, and packaging linen products for delivery to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Sort soiled linens by type, color, and level of soil prior to washing.

Load and unload washers, dryers, and other laundry processing equipment.

Feed linens into ironing and folding machines.

Fold, stack, and prepare clean linens for packaging and delivery.

Inspect linens for stains, damage, or quality issues.

Remove damaged or unusable items from production.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Assist in other areas of production as needed to support workflow.

Meet daily production goals and quality standards.
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25–50 pounds regularly.

Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.

Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Previous laundry, manufacturing, or production experience preferred but not required.

Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and quality standards.

Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Industrial laundry facility environment.

Exposure to heat, humidity, noise, and moving machinery.
