Maintenance Manager

Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager at Economy Linen & Towel Services is responsible for managing the maintenance team and ensuring all equipment, machinery, and facilities are properly maintained and operating efficiently. This role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs that minimize downtime and support continuous improvement within the plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities and staff.

• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance program for all plant equipment and systems.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues as needed.

• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and regulations.

• Maintain maintenance records, budgets, and reports.

• Coordinate with Production and Operations to schedule maintenance activities that minimize disruption.

• Source and manage contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance work.

• Order and manage inventory for parts, tools, and supplies.

• Provide training and support to maintenance staff on safety and technical procedures.

• Support capital projects, facility improvements, and equipment upgrades.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification preferred.

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or production environment, including supervisory experience.

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

• Proficiency in using CMMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment

This position operates within a production and plant environment. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Some travel between Economy Linen facilities may be required.
