The Early Head Start Teacher plans, organizes, and implements the operational and physical aspects of the Early Head Start classroom; including setting up the classroom and developing lesson plans to implement the educational program. The Early Head Start Teacher works with children ages zero to three years of age, parents and staff to ensure that education and early childhood development activities are conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as program and agency requirements.
Requirements
At a minimum, a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or comparable credential, with a focus on infant and toddler development or at least 9 college credit hours in early childhood education. This position is subject to random drug screening and background checks.
