MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement educational components, facilitation of groups and individual cases, and implement program evaluation.
- Provide supervision and direction to Community Educator
- Provide program and budget oversite and implementation
DETAILED RESPONSIBILITES
- Conducts community outreach and education.
- Design and implement WBL activities aligned with local workforce needs and student interests.
- Coordinate logistics for afterschool career-related activities (e.g., job shadowing, internships, guest speakers, site visits).
- Ensure integration of career readiness skills and standards (e.g., soft skills, resume writing, workplace communication).
- Collaborate with afterschool program staff to align WBL activities with academic enrichment goals.
- Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and workforce development agencies.
- Serve as the primary liaison between students, families, schools, and employers.
- Develop MOUs, partnership agreements, and schedules for employer engagement.
- Recruit and prepare students for participation in work-based learning experiences.
- Facilitate career readiness workshops and one-on-one coaching (e.g., resume help, interview prep).
- Monitor student progress and participation, providing support to ensure success.
- Planning and oversight of project details, budget and workplan objectives.
- Completes required reporting accurately and timely as designated.
- Be a liaison between the Director and collaborating school district.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to facilitate discussion/teach classes to youth in a variety of settings on program related topics
- Experience working with youth and demonstrated ability to be inclusive and nonstigmatizing in their role.
- Knowledge of and/or experience with priority population and community to be served.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and/or weekends.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with career development frameworks (e.g., National Career Readiness Certificate, Employability Skills Framework).
- Comfortable using data tracking tools and reporting platforms
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in education, workforce development, social work, or related field.
- 2 years of experience working with youth in education, afterschool, or career readiness programs.
- Experience with community outreach and partnership development.
