What are the responsibilities and job description for the Product Manager position at Economic Mobility Center (formerly Economic Mobility Systems)?
Economic Mobility Center (EMC) is seeking a Product Manager who excels at translating
product insights into tangible experiences and deployable solutions that help districts and
partners improve student outcomes from high school through college and into living-wage
careers. Someone local to the DFW area would be great, it’s not a requirement
In our product organization, the Senior Director of Product Strategy and Management leads product discovery and Voice-of-Customer efforts with educators, counselors, administrators, and workforce partners. This role works closely with that leader to translate those insights into working prototypes, experience designs, and partner-facing tools that can be tested with users and refined before moving into product development and deployment.
This role sits at the intersection of product management, experience design, and delivery
execution, supporting end-to-end product management under the direction of the Senior
Director.. You will help shape how solutions look, feel, and function for partners—whether
those solutions are digital tools, reports, workbooks, dashboards, or other artifacts that
support decision-making and student success. You will support execution across the full
product lifecycle, ensuring continuity from early discovery through deployment and
continuous improvement, while the Senior Director maintains full ownership and
accountability.
This role also supports go-to-market planning and execution, ensuring solutions are effectively positioned, communicated, and adopted by internal teams and external partners. The ideal candidate is a systems thinker and builder who enjoys turning insights into prototypes, designing intuitive experiences, and ensuring those solutions are successfully deployed and adopted by partners.
What You’ll Do
Experience Design & Prototyping
Translate product insights and discovery findings into clear user workflows, experience designs, and working prototype using tools such as Figma, Google Workspace, or similar platforms.
Design partner-facing artifacts such as:
● Workbooks, reports, dashboard and planning tools
● Implementation guides
● Visual process maps
Facilitate usability sessions and prototype testing with users to refine designs and improve
usability.
Ensure product designs and artifacts support clear communication of value and usability
for go-to-market and partner adoption.
Product Deployment & Delivery
Support the transition of validated designs and prototypes into deployable product features and partner tools by working closely with engineering and data teams to ensure concepts translate effectively into implemented solutions.
Coordinate with the Senior Director and technology teams to support feature delivery, testing, and release preparation, ensuring solutions are practical for real-world implementation within partner organizations.
Monitor product usage, partner feedback, and support requests to identify opportunities for refinement and continuous improvement.
Product Management & Execution
Manage feature development and release cycles in collaboration with engineering and data
teams.
Maintain backlog priorities and delivery timelines.
Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Data, Marketing, and Program teams to support predictable execution.
Ensure solutions align with the broader product roadmap and organizational priorities.
Launch, Go-to-Market, & Adoption Support
Partner with Program and Marketing teams to support solution launches and partner adoption.
Contribute to product demos, documentation, and implementation resources.
Help ensure internal teams understand how solutions work and how partners should use them.
Support storytelling and visual explanation of product workflows and tools.
Partner with Marketing to support go-to-market strategies, including positioning, messaging, and rollout planning.
Contribute to development of product marketing materials such as one-pagers,
presentations, and partner-facing content.
Support internal enablement by helping train Program/Partner Success, and Sales teams
on new product features and tools.
Ensure product releases are clearly communicated with defined value propositions and
use cases for target audiences.
What We’re Looking For
● 5–8 years in Product Management, Product Design, or hybrid Product/UX roles
● Strong prototyping and UX capabilities using tools such as Figma or similar platforms
● Experience designing reports, dashboards, workbooks, or frameworks that help users
interpret data and take action.
● Experience collaborating with marketing and cross-functional teams on go-to-market
strategy, product launches, and partner adoption
● Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical
teams
● Demonstrated project management and coordination skills
● Data-informed mindset with strong problem-solving skills
● Ability to balance creative design thinking with structured delivery
Preferred Experience
Experience working with school districts, community colleges, or workforce development
organizations, along with familiarity with CCMR accountability systems, HB3/HB8 policy
incentives, and broader college-and-career readiness initiatives.
Experience designing data-driven tools such as dashboards, reports, or decision-support
frameworks is highly valued. A background working with CRM systems—such as Salesforce or designing tools that integrate with them will also be beneficial.
