Supports in evaluating and estimating project cost for manufacturer/distributor to government agencies, construction contractors, industrial establishments, etc. by analyzing proposals and specifications. Responsible for searching various bid advertisement sites as well as registering Econolite with agency bid lists for states within the assigned sales territory.
DUTIES
The base pay range for this full-time non-exempt position is $35.00 - $38.00 per hour plus benefits. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire base pay rates for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
Physical Requirements
Primarily an office-based role requiring prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and travel occasionally to company sites, audits, or meetings as needed.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT

DUTIES
- Assist and or prepare bid by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents for Sales team for review and/or approval.
- Accumulate, evaluate, review, and update file system and procedures and methods in order to maintain current estimating standards and databases.
- Assist in providing appropriate order documentation requested and responds to customer order inquiries and other project management requirements.
- Provide local Account Managers information on bid/quote activity prior to submittal.
- Coordinate bid/quote activity with account managers and sales leadership.
- Interpret project plan sheets, bid documents, engineering documents and/or special provisions.
- Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to 2 years of related work experience.
- Must have a clear understanding of, and ability to work with, plan sheets, bid documents, engineering documents and specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
- Strong computer software skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications, such as MS Office programs, including Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
- Self-motivated and strong commitment to teamwork.
