The Opportunity
We're looking for a hungry, disciplined, and intellectually curious Lead Development Representative to join our Plano sales team. This is a front-line revenue role: you will be the first human touchpoint for prospects evaluating a platform migration or integration modernization. You'll target IT and Operations leaders at mid-market and enterprise companies across retail, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution — and your job is to open doors that matter.
This is not a checkbox role. You'll need to understand what EDI, APIs, and order management actually mean to a business — and be able to have a credible conversation about it before passing a qualified opportunity to a Senior Solutions Architect or Account Executive.
What You'll Do
- Build and execute targeted outbound prospecting sequences via cold email, cold calling, and LinkedIn — focused on decision-makers including IT Directors, VP of Supply Chain, and Operations leaders
- Identify and prioritize accounts with legacy EDI platforms (IBM Gentran, Sterling B2Bi, TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce, etc.) approaching end-of-life or carrying high integration debt
- Research accounts deeply before outreach — understand their tech stack, trading partner relationships, and business pain before the first touch
- Qualify inbound leads and hand off sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives and Solutions Architects with clean, complete discovery notes
- Maintain meticulous CRM hygiene — log all activity, update contact and account records, and track sequence performance
- Collaborate with Sales Ops and marketing to refine messaging, test new sequences, and improve conversion at every stage of the funnel
- Meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings booked and opportunities created
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1–3 years of outbound B2B sales or lead development experience, ideally in SaaS, technology, or supply chain solutions
- Demonstrated ability to cold call and cold email effectively — not just send templates, but craft contextual, persona-specific outreach that gets replies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; you can write a crisp, compelling email and hold a confident phone conversation
- Comfortable with ambiguity — this is a growing team and you'll help shape the playbook, not just execute one
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident (required)
- Must be able to work on-site at our Plano, TX office full-time
Preferred
- Familiarity with EDI, API integration, supply chain, or e-commerce order management concepts
- Experience prospecting into IT, Operations, or Supply Chain personas at mid-market or enterprise companies
- Proficiency with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, or comparable sales intelligence tools
- Experience with HubSpot, Salesforce, or a similar CRM
